Who we are

Case to Answer was founded in early 2019 and is proud to be based in the City of Lancaster. We have grown significantly since our launch and have a group of highly motivated individuals possessing a wealth of knowledge and experience within the financial litigation sector.
We act as the conduit between our introducers and panel law firms; enabling the smooth and efficient movement of high quality litigation ready cases and providing each of our partners with end to end support.

What we do

Our core focus is financial litigation; Plevin, Mortgages, Pensions and Undisclosed Commissions. However, we do have a number of products and services in the pipeline for the near future.
Our Research & Development function are busy testing cases within PCP & Car Finance, various Tax Claims, Business Energy Claims and Data Breach claims.

Xavier Rodriguez

Managing Director

Xavier has worked in the legal sector and in financial services for more than 15 years. He has a wealth of experience in developing new business models

for the legal sector and successfully implementing the processes, teams and relationships required to both acquire the volume of cases needed and to deliver cost effective management from start to finish. He has created campaigns to generate and run unenforceable credit agreement and financial irregularities cases. He will take responsibility for business development, including case acquisition, and for process design and implementation. He is also the founder and managing director of Case To Answer Ltd.

Andy Lang

Commercial Director

Andy has worked within Financial Services for just under 20 years; including roles at Blemain Finance, Welcome Finance and Ocean Finance. In 2005,

Andy became a Mortgage Adviser working within Think Loans & Mortgages (later became Ocean Finance). Following the financial crash in 2008/09 Andy moved in to the debt advice part of Think Money Group and spent several years there providing advice on informal and formal debt solutions. In 2012, Andy joined a large CMC and operated as the Head of Business Development. Andy was then responsible for around 150 employees as well as the development of several new businesses within the group. In 2019, Andy worked alongside Xavier on a number of projects and this culminated in the launch of Case To Answer Limited, of which Andy is a founding Director.

Richard Law

Legal Director

Richard qualified as a solicitor in 2010. Following the completion of his training contract, Rick joined Hill Dickinson LLP, specialising as a litigator in counter fraud.

Subsequently, he joined BCL Legal as a specialist in-house recruiter acting on behalf of high profile clients such as Triumph Motorcycles, Europcar and the Fraser Group. He joined Case to Answer as the Head of Partnerships in 2020 and was swiftly promoted to the Legal Director of CTA.

Anthony Martin

New Business Manager

Anthony has over 20 years experience working in sales with the last 12 years being in management positions. Anthony started his career

in the communications industry working for both BT and Vodafone before moving into the financial services sector with Gladstone Brookes, working specifically in reclaims including PPI. Whilst at Gladstone Brookes Anthony worked initially as a sales coach developing and implementing a coaching, feedback and development framework for a sales department of 60+ staff. Anthony was then tasked with growing Gladstone Brookes Debt advice offering and ultimately growing that department up to a team of 45 offering 5 different products in an FCA regulated environment. Alongside Andy Lang, Anthony developed a Payday loan reclaim offering from inception to realisation leading to the handling of over 2000 cases per month. In addition to the development of new initiatives, Anthony also oversaw the maximisation of key metrics with PPI and PBA reclaims generating over 25,000 cases per month.

Neil Coleman

Operations Manager

Neil has a vast amount of knowledge in relation to the financial mis-selling industry. Having worked for Thinkmoney for 11 years, and a large,

well known CMC for over six years, he has an impressive record. As a highly knowledgeable Operations Manager, he implements his wealth of knowledge and experience within the business and the team on a daily basis.

Paul Sinton

Business Consultant

Paul has aided in cultivating the team here at Case to Answer. His role entails identifying as many practical tools as he can to develop

and grow our employees, as a team and as individuals. Every individual who has joined CTA has been recruited with the help of Paul and he is a real credit to the business.

Zainab Sheth

Business Development Executive

Zainab graduated from the University of Liverpool with her LLB and proceeded to join the Personal Injury Department at HSK Solicitors

in Greater Manchester. She acquired an extensive amount of knowledge dealing with Road Traffic Accident and Personal Injury cases. Thereafter, she secured a position in the communications industry working for BT where she developed key interpersonal and analytical skills, this equipped her for what was to come. In 2020, Zainab began her journey at Case to Answer as a Legal Assistant, specialising in Plevin/PPI. She expressed a clear interest in joining the Commercial side of the business and within a brief period of time, she was offered the role of Business Development Executive. She continues to build relationships with CMC’s, Introducers and Law Firms on behalf of Case to Answer.

Tom Mayor

Office Manager

Thomas has been part of CTA since its inception. He began his journey as the sole legal assistant in the Intellectual Property Department,

later rising to a fee earner in Financial Irregularities and Housing Disrepair. Tom has assisted in the development of robust legal processes and is now Office Manager here at Case to Answer.

Daniel derbyshire

Team Leader

Having graduated from Lancaster University, Daniel began his legal career at Lawthority Limited before moving over to Case to Answer.

He headed up the Mortgage Mis-selling department at CTA and has an extensive background in Plevin. He is the resident expert of all things mortgages and is now leading his own team within Case to Answer. He continues to advance the team utilising his knowledge and expertise.

Cash for Kids

At Case to Answer, we are passionate about our charitable contributions. We work closely with Cash For Kids to support disadvantaged children across the UK, specifically in the North West.
Many children suffer from poverty, abuse and neglect and Cash For Kids has raised millions in recent years. It is a cause that is incredibly important to us!

Case to Answer is an unregulated practice which is dedicated to providing high calibre, unreserved legal advice to our partners. Although we are unregulated, all legal services are provided by our high qualified and experienced lawyers who have chosen to practice in an unregulated manner. There are companies within our group which are regulated by the SRA and where it is necessary, regulated support is available. It is important to note, CTA is not regulated by the SRA or the Bar Standards Board (BSB). Case To Answer Limited (CTA) is an unregulated law firm that does not carry out any reserved legal activities within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007. CTA is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as it does not carry out claims management activities or financial promotions, as defined by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
